How we work.
From the first conversation to the final fitting — here's the shop process. Same flow whether you're bringing in a hem or commissioning a build from scratch. Four panels, no hand-waving.

Conversation
It starts with a phone call, an email, or someone walking in with a Pinterest board on their phone. We listen — to what you're picturing, what your timeline is, what your budget can support. Then we ask the boring-but-load-bearing questions: who wears it, when, and under what conditions. No commitment to book; sometimes the most useful outcome is “here's a different shop that's a better fit.”

Measure & Plan
Tape measure, drafting paper, your project's specific shape. For a hem: a single measurement and a stitch plan. For a build: full measurements, a pattern drafted from scratch, fabric sourced, materials timeline locked. For a costume armor build: thermoplastic count and foam thickness alongside the rest. Same conversation, scope-aware.

Build
Where the shop gets quiet and the machines get loud. For builds: drafting, muslin fitting, real fabric, basted fitting, finishing. For alterations: pinning, marking, sewing, second-look. For restoration: replacing what's failed, refitting what hasn't. Fittings are iterative — first / basted / final — with extras as the project warrants. Coffee is a constant.

Hand-off
Final fitting, last tweaks, the day the work becomes yours. For wedding-wear, sometimes a small reveal in the shop. For costume builds, a walk-around to confirm everything moves and nothing catches. For alterations, a quick try-on and you're out the door. We hand off the piece — and the care notes — and stay reachable through the run, premiere, ceremony, shoot, or wear.
