Session 01 · For Lindsey · Friday 2026-04-24 at 11:00

Six things to look at, in the order that serves the meeting.

Six deliverables for the first working session on the Hook and Eye website rebuild — one live mockup plus the five documents that frame it. You can click through in whatever order you like; the ordering below reflects how I think it reads most easily. Nothing here is committed. Everything is a draft we ratify, redirect, or remix on Friday.

How to read this

Start with the mockup — it renders one candidate direction at full fidelity, so you can see it, not just read about it. Mockup A is the graphic-novel direction (the one I recommended on paper), and it’s shown two ways: the design register (the spirit-piece — SVG hero, illustrated cards, editorial comic-book voice) and a grounded mockup built around your real site photos and structured the way the actual site would be. Then flip through the options slate to see the other directions laid out alongside. The brief is my read-back of what you told me on the 17th, written so you can correct anything I misread before we build further.

The sitemap, domain-transfer path, and question list are the scaffolding: what pages we're building toward, how we get the domain off Wix cleanly, and a short list of things I need your read on before I can keep moving.

If time is short: look at the mockup, skim the options slate, come to the meeting with a gut reaction. Everything else we can walk through together. (A photo-rich companion mockup is being rebuilt from your real site photos and will land after Friday.)

Live mockups · A
01 · see them, not just read about them

Direction A — graphic-novel primary

The direction I recommended on paper, built as live HTML pages. Two views are linked from this card. The graphic art design register is the spirit-piece — SVG hero (leather jacket + embroidered tiger), narration bar, illustrated work cards, editorial comic-book voice. The "what if" of the direction. The graphic art mockup is the grounded sibling — same voice, but built around your real site photos and structured the way the actual site would be (home, process, portfolio, legal). Open both — the register sets the tone; the mockup shows how that tone holds up against real content.

02 · the decision to make in the meeting

Design directions, four of them

Graphic-novel primary (rendered as Mockup A), graphic-novel accent, atelier / maker-craft, and theater program. One page each. None pre-selected; a fifth is fine if the four don't land. A photo-rich companion mockup (Direction B) is being rebuilt from your real site photos and will land after Friday.

03 · the part where you correct me

Project understanding brief

What I heard from you on the 17th, written back so you can flag anything off. Two clienteles, Wix pain points, pages list, what stays, what's later, what we decided about the graphic-novel framing after the recorder turned off.

05 · what we're building toward

Sitemap & information architecture

Six top-level pages with rationale. First-post scope vs. later. Where the wedding silhouette selector, inspiration upload, and backend integrations slot in when they arrive.

06 · how the domain moves

Domain transfer path

Wix → Porkbun (middle hop) → Cloudflare. Why not direct, the full sequence, the gotchas, the rollback path, timeline, and cost. Written to be readable without me in the room.

07 · short list back to you (and what I’m doing in your absence)

Questions & To Do

Blocking, shaping, and later — grouped by urgency. Plus a To Do section with the items I’m drafting in your absence (partner-badge letter, privacy policy, terms) so you know what is in flight before Friday.
