Re: Permission to display <<IP_HOLDER_LEGAL_NAME>>'s logo and name in Hook And Eye Co.'s "Work for" partner-credentials section

Dear <<RECIPIENT_SALUTATION>>,

I'm Lindsey, the principal at Hook And Eye Co. — a costume and garment shop in Austin, Texas. We built the <<COSTUME_OR_CHARACTER_BUILD_DESCRIPTION>> for <<WEARER_OR_CLIENT>>, based on the character <<CHARACTER_NAME>> from <<PROPERTY_OR_TITLE>>. The build was completed in <<YEAR_OR_DATE>> for <<EVENT_CONVENTION_OR_OCCASION>>.

I'm writing to ask your permission to display <<IP_HOLDER_LEGAL_NAME>>'s logo and name in Hook And Eye Co.'s "Work for" partner-credentials section — a small social-proof row on our website (and corresponding sections in print marketing) that names the brands and properties we've built work for. The intent is past-work documentation: showing prospective clients which IP holders' work we've contributed to as a custom build vendor, not suggesting any current or ongoing formal affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, licensing, or partnership.

Note for large IP holders: many studios maintain formal permissions or brand-use channels (often called "brand permissions," "publicity rights," or "licensing inquiries"). If <<IP_HOLDER_LEGAL_NAME>> prefers that route, please direct us there and we'll resubmit through the appropriate channel.

The logo and name would appear in the following places, all of them past-work documentation and none of them suggesting any active brand-partnership or product-licensing arrangement:

In every appearance where the logo is displayed, we commit to the following:

Separately, if you'd be willing, we'd also welcome permission to display photographs of the finished build in the same past-work context — but the logo ask above is our primary request; if the photographs aren't possible we can still document the partnership through the logo alone.

This permission would be non-exclusive, would not transfer or impair any of your rights in your logo, marks, or underlying property, and would remain in effect until you ask us to retire the display — in which case we'd remove your logo and name from forward-going use within thirty days of your written request.

If this works for you, a brief written confirmation by reply email or signature on the line below is all we need. If your office prefers a more formal licensing arrangement or a different framing entirely, I'd welcome the conversation.

Thank you for considering this — and for making the work that gave this costume its source.

Sincerely,

Lindsey Rae
